My Artisanal Process

This handmade copper wire wrapped ring features a beautiful oval agate cabochon that I've carefully set using techniques I've been perfecting for years. Each bend and weave is done by hand – no shortcuts. The stone measures approximately 1in in diameter with a smooth, polished dome that catches the light beautifully.

After completing the wirework, I apply a patina using a liver of sulfur solution that transforms the bright copper into a rich, dark gunmetal finish. I carefully dip it in a warmed sulphuric bath, then neutralize the chemical reaction with baking soda. The ring then spends about 20 minutes tumbling with steel shot to polish the metal and remove excess tarnish, creating depth and highlights.
