Sparkly Silver Marcasite Wrapped in Oxidized Copper Wire Inspired by twisting vines this pendant's bail is as unique as the pattern of a trees roots merging with the soil beneath. I use a thin wire to weave intricate patterns before I secure the gemstone. Creating this piece brings me back to my early days wrapping when I often didn't know where I would end up-I would just follow where the wire took me. Instead of sticking to the tried and true bail formations, I sought my creative freedom with every twist and coil. The V it created reminds me of the Sign of the Ram, Aries which was considered the temple of Mars. Courage, domination, overcoming challenges and obstacles in your way are all ways that the God Mars shows up in our lives.
