This striking ring features a genuine turquoise stone carefully embraced by hand-wrapped copper wire. Custom made in your exact size (from 4 to 13), each ring is crafted specifically for you after ordering. Since these are handcrafted items, please note that sizes may vary slightly (as ring sizes change with every half millimeter difference).

My Artisanal Process

When I receive your order, I'll select a beautiful turquoise stone similar to the one pictured and begin weaving copper wire to create your custom-sized ring. Each piece undergoes a special patina process using liver of sulfur solution that gives the copper a rich, dark, almost steely appearance. I carefully dip the finished ring in a warmed liver of sulfur bath, controlling the darkness by timing the exposure, then neutralize the chemical reaction with a baking soda solution.

After applying this distinctive patina, I tumble your ring for approximately 20 minutes with steel shot to polish the copper and remove excess tarnish. This creates a beautiful finish that highlights the intricate wirework while maintaining the sophisticated darkened appearance.

Caring for Your Ring

With wear, your ring's appearance will gradually evolve - the dark patina will naturally lighten over time, revealing more of the copper's natural warmth. To preserve your ring's finish:

• Store in a jewelry box or tightly closed container when not wearing to minimize air exposure
• Remove before washing hands, showering, swimming, or sleeping
• Keep dry to prevent unwanted green patina that can develop when copper meets moisture
• Handle with care to maintain the precise wirework and stone setting
